Twice daily game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari vehicles and nature walks are included in the rate. The excellent game viewing experience is complimented by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching and moonlit bush dinners or sundowners (weather permitting).
Daily Bush Walk
The daily walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on drive. Our knowledgeable ranger and tracker will enthrall you with stories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts regarding the animals.
Community Tour
The community tour takes place outside the reserve in the local village. This tour offers a fascinating insight into modern Shangaan lifestyle. You will be welcomed into a pre-primary school where the children will delight you with their songs. You can also expect to see some traditional singing and dancing as well as being welcomed into a traditional home where you will see corn being ground and be given a chance to taste traditional foods.
Beauty Treatments
The carefully chosen treatments designed by Virgin Touch will help to relax and soothe every part of your body. Options include a hydrodermie facial which uses galvanic and high frequency current to deep cleanse and hydrate the deep layers of the skin and speed up cellular regeneration.
A liftosome facial uses a high concentration of vitamin C and proteins to strengthen elasticity and firmness whilst stimulating cellular regeneration. Our resident beautician also offers aromatherapy massages, manicures, pedicures and waxing.
Chiropractic Treatments
A chiropractor focuses on restoring the body's muscular-skeletal system to a natural stress free state, effectively relieving aches and pains, muscle tension, headaches, neck pain, lower back pain and referred pain syndromes.
The chiropractor combines his/her knowledge of the body with acupuncture and deep tissue massage to provide a truly holistic experience.

ULUSABA IS A GREAT TIME TO VISIT IN WINTER • The bush is sparser so visibility is greatly improved while out on game drives making the animals easy to spot. • The nights are cool so enjoy hot-water bottles and blankets on the land rover and mulled wine for sundowner drinks to keep everyone warm. • Cozy lounges with a log fire at Safari Lodge. • There are fewer mosquitoes around so less concern about malaria. • There is a waterhole in front of Safari Lodge and below Rock Lodge which provide interesting sightings of animals throughout the day. • Bush dinners (weather permitting) - you couldn't wish for a more romantic setting under the stars! • Boma dinners at Safari Lodge & late night stories around the fire.
